Baikal skullcap, lat. Scutellaria baicalensis, is native to Asia and has been used there for a long time in traditional Asian medicine. Baikal skullcap is rich in flavonoids, e.g. of Baikalin, has an antioxidant effect and is traditionally widely used. The skullcap has a normalizing effect on infections of the respiratory tract, also in the gastrointestinal area, which can manifest themselves as diarrhea and has a positive effect on fever. Skullcap's bioactive substances contribute to normal blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and have a mild calming effect. They have a positive effect on the liver, cholesterol levels and flow properties of the blood. The herb contributes to normal conditions, including allergies and skin disorders, which can be manifested by itching, rashes, atopic eczema. Skullcap normalizes all conditions that indicate the action of bacteria, viruses and fungi, regardless of which part of the body is affected.
Application: Brew a flat teaspoon (2g) with 250ml boiling water or let it boil briefly. The roots can also be ground up and then brewed. Brew and drink up to 3 times a day. The herbs continue to work optimally for up to a year after the specified best before date.
