Cistus tea
Cistus incanus, also called rock rose, is native to the Mediterranean area and is characterized by a very high content of polyphenols, which have a great antioxidant potential and prevent cell-damaging oxidation processes. The Cistus plant is traditionally used in the Mediterranean region for the prevention and treatment of flu and bacterial infections in the throat, gastrointestinal flu and herpes. Its active ingredients also physically prevent the viruses from docking on the body cells and multiplying there. Cistus also thins the blood and improves circulation, which allows the immune cells to better reach all parts of the body and fight pathogens. Cistus is especially recommended in the cold season with an increased risk of being infected with viruses. Taking it during a flu-like infection, a cold or a cold significantly shortens its duration. The polyphenols of the rockrose also protect the blood vessels from calcification and constriction, improve the flow properties of the blood and prevent blood clots.
