Hemp oil - cold-pressed, regenerates damaged cells in inflammation
Hemp oil is obtained from the seeds of hemp (Cannabis sativa) by pressing. It does not contain levels of tetrahydrocannabinol found in the resin and flowers of the plant and therefore has no psychoactive effects. The best cold-pressed hemp oil is characterized by a green-yellowish colour, which it owes to the chlorophyll and carotenoids, as well as vitamin E. Vitamin A is formed in the body from carotenoids. Hemp oil contains up to 80% of the polyunsaturated fatty acids that are essential for humans, ie should be added with food, including linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, gama linolenic acid and an omega-6 fatty acid rare in cooking oils. Relatively large amounts of tocopherol (vitamin E), approx. 800 mg/100 g, and phytosterols can also be found in hemp oil. The ratio of omega-6 fatty acids to omega-3 fatty acids in hemp oil is 3:1, which is ideal for the fatty acids and makes it the best oil for promoting health. Because the unsaturated fatty acids are needed for the repair and regeneration of every single cell in the whole body, hemp oil is used to treat inflammation of the ears, nose and throat, and especially in dermatology for inflammatory skin diseases. The fatty acids are also needed for the production of numerous hormones, for strengthening the immune system, for optimal brain and nerve function. The oil also balances PMS symptoms (premenstrual syndrome), hormone fluctuations during menopause and lowers high blood pressure. The oil is not suitable for frying and should be eaten cold. In order for the hemp oil to have a positive effect on health, it should be taken daily in the amount of 3 teaspoons to a tablespoon, depending on the degree of the symptoms.
